This is my very personal story why I make it possible for you to spend your well deserved vacation in the heart of central Mosel.

At Mittelmosel I was born and raised in a typical Moselle family.
We, my parents and six siblings, have farmed our vineyards. For self-sufficiency we kept cows, pigs and chickens and planted cereals, turnips and potatoes. In addition, we had a big garden.
This could only work if the whole family worked together and kept them together.
That really shaped me.

But as it is, everyone goes their own way.
My way led me into the Eifel. Occupation, my family, my three sons kept me busy for several years. However, I never lost contact with the Moselle.
Here at the Moselle, I have always been able to find peace in stressful times. The view of the steep vineyards, the Moselle, nature, the people, the wine ....
... that's a special piece of earth ... ..

So I would like to come here with my family and friends more often, unfortunately, this did not always work with the accommodation. So the desire grew for a house where people can find holidays, rest, peace and relaxation.

Be open to what life offers - that's how I met the first house.

With much joy and work of the whole family we have the house elaborately renovated and furnished. My image during this time was to create a place where people meet, meet and feel good. My wish has become a goal and I have been able to find two more places for guests.

The most beautiful sentence of a group of guests was: "Come to you, is like coming home a bit."

Mosel mit Blick auf Ürzig

The Moselle rises in the Vosges, flows through France and Luxembourg until it flows into the Rhine in Germany at the Deutsches Eck in Koblenz.
It is divided into upper, middle and lower Mosel, each with its own individual character in each section. Geographically, the Middle Moselle is defined from Schweich to Zell. Ürzig and Zeltingen are thus in the heart of the Middle Moselle.
The river between Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trarbach forms a mitten. Marked by the many meanders, the Moselle has found a particularly attractive path through the Rhenish Slate Mountains here. The flora and fauna offers the attentive observer many highlights. The rocks are popular breeding grounds for eagle owl, red kite and peregrine falcon, you will find the rare Apollofalter and along the cycling and hiking trails (eg Erdener Klettersteig and the Moselle-Maare-Radwanderweg), wild orchids provide stimulating splashes of color.

However, the truly special of the Middle Mosel is certainly in the expression of the rocks and steep slopes. Sometimes rugged, sometimes softer, these can have up to 65% gradient.
In this hillside grow grapes of special quality and that was already known by the ancient Romans, who founded the winegrowing on the Mosel. Therefore, the Moselle is considered the oldest wine growing region in Germany. Relics from this period can be found along the Mosel z. As in earth an old Roman wine press, which was discovered in the context of land consolidation.

For centuries the Riesling grape was the trademark of the Mosel, but in recent years the spectrum has expanded considerably. Due in part to climate change, a large variety of white and red grape varieties are grown today.

With heart and passion, the winemakers face the challenge and not only in the vintage. Almost entirely by hand, many winemakers still produce their own wines, so each wine has its own individual touch. The Moselaner is an open-minded, friendly and sociable person.

Ihr Feriendomizil verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer, 3 Badezimmer, komplett ausgestattete moderne Küche, Wohnzimmer mit Couch, großem Esstisch und Loggia mit direktem Moselblick.

In diesem ehemaligen Weingut haben alle Räume hohe Decken und bieten viel Platz. Selbstverständlich stehen Ihnen Fernseher, W-LAN und weitere Annehmlichkeiten zur Verfügung. Das Ferienhaus befindet sich in einer typischen Dorfgasse ohne Durchgangsverkehr (Sackgasse). Es besitzt für die Gäste eigene Parkplätze direkt neben dem Haus. Das Haus ist komplett neu renoviert und so werden auch noch weitere Bilder ergänzt.

In reizvoller Umgebung können Sie vielfältige Aktivitäten wahrnehmen oder einfach relaxen. Im Ort finden Sie einen Bäcker mit kleinem Supermarkt, Metzger, Tankstelle, Bank, Arzt und zahlreiche Restaurants. Genießen Sie die Abende in einer gemütlichen Straußwirtschaft. Viele Winzer bieten vor Ort Weinproben an. Sprechen Sie uns an. Wir organisieren gerne eine Weinprobe im Gewölbekeller für Sie.

Especially in the months of August, September and October, numerous wine and street festivals are held along the central Mosel. Here you can get to know the people, the wine and the Moselle cuisine.In December you can visit the Christmas market in the historic old town of Trier, Bernkastel-Kues and Traben-Trarbach.

Start your leisure activities all year round from Ürzig. Through the vineyards lead both hiking trails and bike paths. From here you can reach on day trips Bernkastel-Kues, Cochem, Burg Eltz, Trier, Koblenz, Hunsrück, Eifel, Luxembourg and many other well-known destinations.
